Bulls Basketball & The LA Stat Machine

Hey Morning Squad,

There were a lot of games, so I don’t want to waste your time. I’ll give you the run down.

Also…somebody get my man Skip Bayless a towel. He’s been working overtime putting together the low-light video clips of Russell Westbrook. Lol.

The Games

1)Facts, Cap, & The Bulls.

The Bulls are the most consistent team in the East.

They win no matter who is in their line up. But more importantly, when their starters are healthy, their numbers are silly.

Versus the Hawks Monday you got:

DeRozan — 35 pts 10 assists

LaVine — 30 pts 9 Assists

Vucevic — 24 pts 17 Rebounds.

They beat the Hawks by 12 and are still missing Lonzo and Caruso. They keep reshuffling this deck of cards and keep finding winning hands.

Bulls #2 in the East.

LeBron really can do it all.

On Tuesday night Lebron started at Center for the Lakers as they tried to end their losing streak vs the Rockets.

Here’s how that went.

1)They ended the streak…Although the Rockets kept it close all the way to the end.

2)LeBron had a 32 point Triple Double game.

3)LeBron became the 3rd player in NBA History to score 36,000 points.

Man, what a night for the King. 👑

Russell Westbrook also had a triple double. Making LeBron and Russ the 13th pair of teammates to ever do it.

What an amazing win for the team…but it’s against the Rockets. Who are currently last in the West.

I’ll give the Lakers the win, the style points and the records. But I still think this team is poorly constructed and isn’t a contender.

Sad, cause it’s clearly a stat machine!

3)Ja Morant pulls a fast one on the Suns

If you were shocked seeing Morant’s game winning layup…imagine the Phoenix bench.

The Grizzlies were up much of the game as the Suns rallied. With 04 seconds left, Booker takes the lead with a 3.

But they left too much time on the clock…

Ja Morant slashes through 4 Suns defenders, hangs in the air, and banks a layup to win the game.

Phoenix really thought they had this one. Grizz win.

4)Herro is best served Hot!

Tyler Herro might be the best player to not start for an NBA team this year.

He’s a no doubt 6th man of the year contender. Might be runaway at this point too.

He dropped 32 off the bench vs the Wizards Tuesday.

Jimmy Butler helps them seal the win with a career high 15 assists. Nice win for the Heat. Currently 4th in the East.

The Other Games…

Honorable Mentions…

  • Speaking of Records Steph scores 3,000th 3 pointer in a loss to the Nuggets.
  • Knicks beat the T-Wolves. Walker the East player of the week. Scored 10 in this one…
  • Joel Embiid has 36 & 11 in a win vs the Raptors.
  • Bucks beat the Magic. Now 3rd in the East.
  • Harden has 39 points, 15 assists vs the hobbled Clippers.

Big League Chew

LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Durant and Kyrie all cleared protocols. Might get our first chance to see the band back together.

Rubio set to have an MRI on injured leg.🙏🏾

There is continued interest on a Mid-Season tournament being added to the NBA season. I’ll keep you updated.
