TRADES, TRADE, AND MORE TRADES

The Morning Squad

Hey Morning Squad,

Yesterday gave us so much news that I won’t even talk about Monday’s games.

So here we go.

1)Lakers vs Bucks

Last night, Lebron just had to watch Giannis as he and the Bucks destroyed his terrible Lakers squad.

Lebron, AD and Westbrook all played and it didn’t make a difference.

Time is a funny thing.

There was once a time when Lebron used to own Giannis in the East.

And now, as the Lakers continue to slide, Giannis and the Bucks are heading in the opposite direction.

And more specifically, Lebron is watching the crown he once wore for so long move into the hands of Giannis.

Giannis shot a ridiculous 85% from the field and scored 44 points and had 14 rebounds.

The Trade Westbrook chants have never been louder.

The Greek freak continues to show us again and again that he is the best player in the League. Bar none.

2)The price of loyalty- the Damian Lillard story

Yesterday there was a bunch of wild trades.

Halliburton to the Pacers. Sabonis to the Kings.

But the one that stood out to me, is the domino that fell when Portland traded CJ McCullom, longtime partner of Damian Lillard, to the Pelicans.

All summer people speculated if Dame would want out. But yet he continued to chant, that he was “loyal”

Loyalty he yelled was important to him. He rapped it on tracks. Said it in interviews.

Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty.

And now CJ is gone for basically spare parts and his whole team is new. Dame is out injured, rumored to be done for the season and now…

As Shannon Sharpe said “we stuck, like a song on repeat”

Damian Lillard is stuck on a bad Portland squad with no prospects of being a contender anytime in the near future.

Up in smoke, isn’t just the name of a legendary rap tour. It’s also a great way to describe Lillard’s current chances at a ring.

I expect Dame will be hitting next on this situation soon.

3)Sixers Nets

Staying on the trade circuit, let’s talk Sixers vs Nets.

No they didn’t play each other last night, but both of them did lose.

Nets lost to the Boston Celtics, as once again James Harden didn’t play.

James has been the center of conversation about a potential trade to the Sixers for one Ben Simmons.

It’s no secret that Simmons wants out but it’s being rumored that the Nets want more than just Ben. The Sixers have apparently nixed a Simmons, Seth Curry trade.

Meanwhile, Philly played the Suns in a tough and tight game. It came down to the wire in the 4th. Embiid stole the ball from CP3, getting ready to go down for the winning basket and then….

It felt like I was watching Seth Curry get himself traded.

No but in all seriousness, both teams need something.

The big question is will it happen before the Trade deadline on Thursday?

Other Games

There were other games across the League. But my ears are to the streets right now.

I’m busy holding all of WOJ’s phones…

You can read about Jokic’s 27 & 11 game or Ja Morant’s 30 point onslaught against the Clippers here: NBA.com

But check in Friday to find out what happens with the dust settles…

And you didn’t hear this from me but after last night’s loss….

Russell Westbrook Trade Loading…

And that’s it. Happy Wednesday!

Have an amazing day! And try not to get traded.
